Hi everyong! I think our friend Makapiaschlumpf made a very good topic here. But he/she should at least introduce himself/herself first. How long have you been in the business? What made you go into shave ice?

To introduce myself, my name is Alex and I worked in the agriculture industry in California for around 10 years. After a trip to Hawaii for my vacation, I finally tasted a true Hawaiian shave ice as opposed to the sno cones we are all familiar with in the mainland...so I quit my job and decided to start a small shave ice cart that mainly caters towards private parties and fundraisers. Been selling shave ice for 5 years now and now I run multiple machines in various events simultaneously. Hope to meet other shave ice vendors here and try to pool our knowledge for other shave ice hopefuls out there!

I am Kim and have been working with HTK Hawaii for almost 3 years. My job is to help answer questions that our customers/users have and to help them to the best of my ability. Hello Everyone! My name is Danielle and I live in St. Augustine, FL.... I AM ADDICTED TO SHAVE ICE and am thinking about starting my own business. I tasted my first officical Hawaiian Shave Ice in Maui a year ago today! I have been searching for a business that I would LOVE so I can quit my real job and do something fun. G'day from Australia. My name is Lisa and I run a successful Shave Ice business called Chillout Shave Ice in Bunbury, Western Australia. The business is 2 years old and was started after a holiday to Hawaii where I tried a shave ice from Jo Jo's in Waimea. I have since visited Hawaii two more times because I love the people, lifestyle and Shave Ice. Our favourite stall last visit was at Hawaiian Blizzard at Kapaa. Aloha Aaron! We have found that there is not much Shave Ice in Australia, mainly slushie's and snow cones. So we are popular with the kids. The flavours from Hawaii are great, real fruit flavours and topped with sour spray is the most popular. I want to network with other Shave Ice friends. See ya.

My husband always said we could save more money owning our own shave ice business than buying them from others everytime I have a craving. I am starting my own business this year and am so excited.
