Word of caution....make sure if you use plastic containers they are freezer safe. Not all plastic container are safe for freezing. You hate to get your customers sick.

Windwardsnow is certainly right. Be sure that your plastic containers are safe to use in the freezer. One more thing, plastic molds are not dishwater safe, they must be cleaned with rag and mild dish washing detergent.

Reading your post made me think of something that I might try with my customers. Has anyone ever tried to have the ice in some kind of a mold, such as a theme. Like a baseball or a flower? This would be something that wouldn't be too difficult to make, but would be such a hit, if I can find the right mold. I think I will look into that. Let me know if anyone has tried this and what success you have or haven't had.

That would be a interesting idea, however the only thing is that the ice is normally shaved immediately when brought out and the customer won't even know what shape the ice is shaved in! Would be a unique idea but hard to make it a value adding perk.
