For those of you who don't know, a 'speed pourer' is that cross shaped plastic thing that goes into the neck of a liquor bottle. Usually in the larger bottles of the major liquors (vodka, gin, rum, Tequila, etc…).
They are not 'speedy' in any sense of the word.
I understand their purpose in home bottles… stops splashing and 'gurgling' for those who don't know how to pour liquids…
And I understand them in the professional level, as they put out the same every time, so good bartenders can 'count out pouring' instead of measuring.
