What is your favorite pourer? I am looking for one that gives me a smooth pour without "chugging".

I buy mine from 1800shavedice.com and have no issues just fyi. You can get pourers almost anywhere even a kitchen supply store.

We've got the cheap plastic ones. I was just wondering if there was anything better.

These are the same pourers bartenders use. Fits right in into a quart bottle.

I believe Smart & Final carries them too or Restaurant Depot (if you have these stores in your state)

We could kick ourselves for not finding the right pourers sooner but we initially started with some that we ordered from hypothermias.

Since we were pressed for time and couldn't wait for the shipping time on extra pourers, we went to Bed, Bath, & Beyond and grabbed these.

They are just the cheap plastic ones as well but you'll notice that the hole is significantly smaller than the others and we get less "cutting" into the ice. They give a nice, even pour Not to mention, who doesn't have a BBB 20% coupon hanging around?

I like these plastic ones....our metal ones are beginning to show some discoloration (rust?).....plus I like the fact it has smaller holes as you mentioned.....less cutting into the ice and also for control of amount of syrup.

I think the metal ones are not actually stainless steel made but rather just chrome plated which is what causes the discoloration. The plastic ones are probably the best bet, however they have to be replaced quite frequently since the rings that lock the spout to the bottle tends to get bend after several times of pulling in and out.

For those of you who don't know, a 'speed pourer' is that cross shaped plastic thing that goes into the neck of a liquor bottle. Usually in the larger bottles of the major liquors (vodka, gin, rum, Tequila, etc…).
They are not 'speedy' in any sense of the word.
I understand their purpose in home bottles… stops splashing and 'gurgling' for those who don't know how to pour liquids…
And I understand them in the professional level, as they put out the same every time, so good bartenders can 'count out pouring' instead of measuring.

does anyone use or recommend the auto measured pourers?

does any have pic of this auto pour? I have not seen one before..that's all.
