Husky Ice planer is solid looking, but has a few problems.
The blade gets pushed back by the ice and loses adjustment frequently.
The blade length is only about 2-3 inches so not much cutting surface.
Ice jams the area behind the blade preventing adjustment.
While it appears that the Husky can hold a lot of ice, more than a cup jams it.
thing for Husky to still work on.

Not to rag on those China made machines, but from my experience they are not worth the price. If you are serious about the shave ice business, I would recommend getting a real commercial shave ice machine such as a Snowie, Hatsuyuki, or even a Gold Medal.

Started business with an older model Husky ice planer and it worked great for 2 years. This year we had a jump in business and needed another shaver so we bought the machine shown in the picture above. It proved to be slow and as Nuice posted the ice jamms under the blade. We sent it back in less than a week and purchased an HC-8E.
