Li Hing Mui

Postby mauifreeze » Mon Dec 13, 2010 3:31 pm

I sell Li Hing Mui at my shop in Utah and my customers love it, but when they ask what it is I don't know what to tell them since I am unsure of what it is. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to describe it to my customers?

You can copy & paste this url to IE...I buy and use these...much easier because they r already cooked and sweetened. Used to boil and sweeten whole beans until I found these....much easier lol Not sure what tiki cream is.

the "tiki cream" may just be sweetened condensed milk. I worked at Shave Ice Paradise on Kauai and we called it a snow cap.. We have a shave ice shack in Indiana where I live and they have a different cream topping and that's all they call it. It's white and tastes a lot like ice cream in a way? I can get the name of it next time I go.. I'm on a search to purchase some Li Hing Mui syrup so I can take it in to him to try!

Oh,..strange..i guess people just want to be unique and make it more hawaiian by using "tiki". Very interesting.

The Tiki Cream what we call our Cream. We actually just use liquid coffee creamer for our cream because I don't like the way real cream freezes on the ice. The coffee cream stays liquid.
