Fundraisers anyone?

Hi,
We are thinking of doing some local high school booster club fundraisers. Has anyone done this? It will mainly be in the off season, once a week, during lunch (in the cafeteria)
I was thinking of offering one size (8 oz.) and maybe 2 or 3 different flavor concoctions. Probably charge $1.50 and the booster club would get 50%
Our business is brand new and for now we are focusing on events, birthdays, weddings, etc. (we don't have a truck) So just trying to get the word out.
Has anyone done this before and have any suggestions?
Also, how does it work for DHEC if we use Ready made syrups and purchase our ice? Do we need an inspection? We are in NC if it makes a difference.

Fund raisers are a GREAT way to get your business's name out there. It's a win-win situation for everyone :) Every county is different as far as its health regulations but if you're using RTU (ready-to-use) syrup and buying ice, there should be no issues. If the school isn't requiring a permit from you, I wouldn't worry about it!
