Kiosk at an open area mall question

Postby shaveicejunkie » Fri Aug 12, 2011 6:16 am

I am considering opening a shave ice shop (permanent) at a popular high traffic outdoor mall that has a tourist season during the summer months. Rent is $1500. No current competitors. With rent that high, and it being a permanent location, would you consider this business feasible? Shaved ice will be sold at 3.50 (approx 16 oz cups). Would like to have at least one employee (two including myself). Please advise. Unsure if I would be able to sell enough shaved ice to cover direct cost and other expenses.
