MC-709SE FUJIMARCA ICE SHAVER

Postby phonny66 » Mon Sep 26, 2011 5:26 am

Hi,
I want to find out is this a good price for a new MC-709SE Fujimarca Ice Shaver $800? This is not a NSF machine. If I use it to start a ice shaver business, will I be fine by the health dept.? Plus, I like to know what do you need to start an ice shaving business? How much money do you need? What equipment do you need? I like to start out small for instance at small events, school, fair, etc. If anyone could answer my question that would be great. Thank you.

check with your health dept first. In AZ you cant use a non-NSF machine. I just started my business and it cost twice what I thought it would. I'm up and running for $16,000

Is the NSF related to the electrical standard?

NSF is related to health and safety standards. For machines/ equipment to have NSF approval, they must go through a check list by the foundation to make sure all the materials (plastics, metals, oils, etc.) as well as safety of the machine meets NSF guidelines. Having NSF approval costs manufactures quite a lot thats why NSF items tend to cost quite more than NSF machines.

Actually I'm not if this is totally true, the health seems ambiguous, it says "NSF or equivalent".

I think NSF or UL certified should be sufficient.
