I live on maui and i'd sure like to take shave ice to people @ the beaches because I surf alot and I know how it is to come in from a surf sesh and dying for something cool to drink : ) what do U think ?

Sounds good Charlie, there are actually a lot of shave ice stores you can check out on Maui and see their operations near Front Street. You can also call HTK since they are in Hawaii and perhaps they can give you some advise too.

You'd need make the ice at your commissary or health department mandated kitchen.I think that's it! Where are you located?

I would check with Dept of Health on the regs. I hear you can buy the block ice. But always go to the horse.

That'd be crazy if you can't use store bought block ice for a cart. That'd prove once and for all that all this commissary stuff is anti competitive nonsense set up by the restaurant lobby.
