I hope I am posting this in the right place so here goes. I currently have a small business and use the swan si100. I am wanting to get 2 more machines so i can expand my business. Does anyone know why there is no NSF rating on the fujimarcas? From what i have read these machines seem to be top notch but i don't want to get them if I won't be able to use them. I am currently talking with the local health dept to see if they can be used without a nsf rating or a comparable rating from a different company comparable to the nsf. Any and all info would be great. Thanks in advance for all help and if all else fails i guess i will have to stick with the swan machines.

Definitely buy a V2 as I am a brand new owner/user and I didn't find it difficult to use at all. But then again, I do have the foot pedal on/off switch which is awesome as the machine shaves when I press it and stops when I release it. It is not a click on or off like the switch on the machine. Very quiet compared to the Swan machines. Too bad it isn't NSF approved.

what rpm do the machines run at?
I was looking into buying a new machine, its a fujimarca but its out of taiwan so it doesnt list as v1 or v2 only that it runs at 1150 rpm

If I recall correctly, its about 450-600 rpm range. 1150rpm is quite fast for a Shave Ice machine is it not? That's nearly, 19 rotations in a second. Cause don't forget, the motor specs does not reflect the actual speed of the machine since it's divided into gear ratios from the motor pulley directly to the belt that drives the pully that turns the shaft is it not?
