Round 1: Compressed Block Ice is made from forcing crushed ice into compression molds using a block ice machine. Sizes can run from 10lbs or larger depending on the type of machine and mold being used.
Round 1: Solid Block Ice is frozen for a minimum of 15 hours in a mold.
Round 2: Compressed Block Ice is NOT recommended for use on a Block-type Shaver, because due to compression there tends to be air trap inside of the ice block which cause an uneven shave on the machine.
So the verdict is ..BUY SOLID BLOCK ICE ONLY! If you want to make ONO(tasty) SHAVE ICE!
